Special needles designed for knitted, jersey and stretch fabrics, suitable for use in overlock machines. These needles feature a point specially designed for knitwear, helping the needle pass between fabric loops and reducing the risk of damaging, pulling or breaking the yarn structure.
Knitted fabrics are elastic and more sensitive than many woven fabrics. Using an unsuitable needle may result in skipped stitches, damaged loops or unwanted holes. A properly selected needle helps provide smooth and consistent stitching while preserving the structure and stretch of the fabric.
Each package contains 10 needles.
Choosing the Correct Needle Size
The needle size should be selected according to the thickness, density and stretch of the knitted fabric and the thread being used:
- 60–65 – for thin and lightweight knitwear, fine T-shirts, underwear and delicate stretch fabrics.
- 70–75 – for thin to medium-light knitwear, lightweight jersey, T-shirts, blouses and other knitted fabrics.
- 80–90 – for medium-weight knitwear, jersey, dresses, sportswear and various stretch fabrics.
- 100–110 – for thicker and denser knitwear, heavier jersey and other dense stretch materials.
Important: the thinner and more delicate the knit fabric, the finer the needle should be. Thicker and denser knit fabrics require a larger needle size. The thread thickness should also be taken into consideration – the needle and thread should be properly matched.
