Preparation
Before dyeing, wash the fabric or garment and soak it in warm water for 15 minutes.
Dissolve the entire contents of the dye packet in 0.5 l of hot water, stirring well until no lumps remain.
Hand dyeing
Pour enough warm water into an enamel container so that the item to be dyed is completely submerged.
Add the dissolved dye and place the item into the container. Stir continuously and maintain a temperature of 30–60 °C for about 30 minutes.
Then add 2 tablespoons of vinegar and keep at the same temperature for another 30 minutes.
Allow the fabric to cool, then rinse thoroughly several times with clean water.
Washing machine dyeing
Place the item in the washing machine and select a 40–60 °C wash program.
Once the water has heated up, pour the dissolved dye into the detergent compartment.
The washing cycle should last about 30 minutes. Then add 2–3 tablespoons of vinegar and repeat the washing cycle.
Do not spin in the centrifuge – rinse the item by hand.
Additional information
- The dye does not damage washing machines.
- The dye is not suitable for some synthetic fibers.
- One packet is sufficient to dye up to 0.5 kg of fabric.
